STFW - Recipe

Hello all,

My son has been really poorly which hgas meant that the last couple of weeks have been an absolute nightmare, resulting in only a couple of hours sleep each night... hence the delay in this post (it was difficult enough to get it actually posted on the SFTW blog).  This evening is the best so far and i think he is actually now on the mend... and now a week late i'm actually doing th post!!!   Anyway onto last weeks SFTW challenge - we have a recipe for you….
Recipe is:-   2 Circles - 2 Squares - buttons and bling

Our sponsor this week is the fabulous Simon Says Stamp, who are very kindly offering the winner a $20 voucher to spend in their store.

I have used brown cardstock from SU to create a cross between a tent & easel card and adhered patterned paper from Bo Bunny's Flutter Butter collection to the front and bottom of the cardstock, and paper from magnolia on the inside of the card as it was similar in colour and looked sophisticated behind the christmas angel also from magnolia.  She was stamped in brown momento ink and coloured in using copic pens and then I added some gliter by using at you spica pens and stickles to add some sparkle.

I have used nesties to cut out the circular shapes (one in gold mirror card) and then attached some jump rings to the top of the angels head and then attached the image to the card.  The 2 circles are the centre where the angel floats and the 'merry christmas' SU circle stamp at the bottom of the card and for the 2 squares I stamped 2 baubles in olive green available from SU and matted them onto brown cardstock.  To finish the card off I stamped a sentiment underneath the angel and added a calendar, besides some gold gems to complete the card.

I do hope that you have enjoyed looking and please feel free to leave a comment.

Trust the little man is recovering now and back too his usual self.
This an unusual card. Love the colours used and your angel looks so at home there. I liked the use of then calendar page on the base of the card. very neat.
